VICTIM AIRLIFTED TO CHARLOTTE

LINCOLN COUNTY -- The
North Carolina Highway Patrol is
investigating an afternoon
accident that sent a Maiden man
to Carolinas Medical Center in
Charlotte.
According to Trooper S.A. Parker,
64-year-old General Lee Sisk of
Benny Shrum Road, Maiden, had
just left home. He was traveling
west on Buffalo Shoals Road
towards Lincolnton around 2 p.m.
when he ran o ff the left side of
the road, striking a tree
head-on.
The road had to be closed down,
according to Parker. Sisk was
transported to Carolinas Medical
Center - Lincoln, then airlifted
to Charlotte.
As of late Sunday night, a
hospital spokesperson at
Carolinas Medical Center -
Charlotte said Sisk was in
critical condition. Trooper
Parker said the investigation
into the accident continued as of
Monday
