HOWARDS CREEK -- A driver with
two children inside the car loses control early
Thursday morning and ends up down an embankment.
Around 12:33a.m. authorities responded to the
intersection of Hwy 27 West and Howards Creek
School Rd. The car flipped over while going down
the embankment.
Firefighters said when they arrived the two
children were still inside the vehicle. They also
say the driver nearly struck a fire hydrant after
running off the road on Hwy 27.
NCHP troop J.M. Futrell said alcohol was not a
factor in the accident. The four occupants were
transported to Carolinas Medical Center - Lincoln
with non-life threatening injuries. Investigation
by NCHP continues.
