EMPLOYER EMBEZZLEMENT

Rhonda Beheler worked for Packaging Unlimited in Lincolnton.

LINCOLNTON -- A Gastonia woman is charged with embezzling a large
amount of money from her Lincoln County employer.

Rhonda Fleeman Beheler, 48, 1424 West Mauney Avenue, Gastonia, was
arrested at Packaging Unlimited on Riverview Road in Lincolnton.

Officials from the company’s headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky, informed
Lincoln County Sheriff’s detective Andrew Alvarado Tuesday about issues
with accounting at the Lincolnton location.

The company officials stated Beheler had been converting funds for
personal use. Beheler had been employed with Packaging Unlimited since
2005.

Detective Alvarado stated the checks were being altered and sent to her
husband’s business at several addresses in Gastonia. The suspect is
accused of converting funds for personal use as far back as May 2008 and
involves checks totaling more than $46,000.

She was taken to the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $15,000
secured bond. Investigation is continuing and other charges are possible.
