COUNTY NARCOTICS OFFICERS, DEPUTIES SERVE WARRANTS

LINCOLNTON – Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies and Narcotics Officers arrested 39-year-old Reginald Bernard Wingate of Georgetown Road on several felony and misdemeanor charges.

The warrants on Wingate were served Thursday around 8:49pm.

He was charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury; felony intimidating/interfering with a witness; felony possession of cocaine; misdemeanor possession of marijuana; and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to Lincoln County Sheriff’s Detective Darrell Hutchens, Wingate allegedly stabbed a man after an argument on June 6, 2009. Wingate fled and Detective Hutchens entered his name in the National Crime Information Computer (NCIC) until Thursday night.

Wingate was taken to the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $145,000 bond on the charges. Officers say more charges are pending in the case.
