LINCOLNTON - Ms. Willie Mae Sherrill Ballard, 87, of the Brian Center in Lincolnton and formerly of Boger City passed away Friday, July 3, 2009.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at Forest Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Bigham officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. Monday at Warlick Funeral Home.

Ms. Ballard was born Feb. 18, 1922, in Catawba County to the late William F. and Zanie Wilkinson Sherrill.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Boger City Baptist Church, 2201 E. Main St., Lincolnton, NC 28092 or to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, Office of Development, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.

Warlick Funeral Home in Lincolnton is serving the Ballard family.
