LINCOLNTON
-- Police responding to a call
at 181 A Street were originally called
out to a breaking, entering in progress.
And
while they heard sounds of people moving
furniture inside the residence, they soon
discovered it wasn't a breaking and
entering; instead, they discovered a
Lincolnton man violating an active
domestic violence protection order.
The
incident unfolded around 10 a.m. Sunday,
when police surrounded the home of Misty
Webb. According to officer Billy Burgin,
he knocked on the front door of the
residence.
Webb,
26, told Burgin tht nobody broke into the
residence. After further questioning,
Webb also told Burgin that Chad
Lattimore, 36, wasn't at the residence.
Burgin's
report indicated Webb gave officers
consent to search the residence.
Authorities found Lattimore hiding in a
bedroom closet.
The
domestic violence protection order --
commonly referred to as a
"50-B" order -- stated
Lattimore couldn't be around Webb or her
residence. It's not known when Webb took
the order out against Lattimore.
Misty
Webb was charged with aiding and abeting
and resisting arrest. She was taken to
the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center
under a $1,000 secured bond. Lattimore,
36, of 218 S. Government Street, was
charged with violating the 50-B order. He
was held in jail without bond. Both have
been released as of Tuesday.
