Arrests break up possible
Walmart theft ring

Two men learned attempting to rob any business in Lincoln County will send them to the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center.

The arrests came as a result of the two men – identified as Stephen Prescott Costa,, 57, and Michael Lee Watson, 41, taking around $1,200 worth of computer software from the Walmart on North Generals Boulevard according to sources.

The sources, speaking on the condition of anonymity, added once police searched the pair’s vehicle, they found items leading the authorities to believe they had broken up a theft ring.

“They found directions to other Walmart stores,” said the source.

Costa and Watson were both charged with felony larceny from a merchant and conspiracy. Both were in the Lincoln County Jail under $12,000 secured bonds each.

Both suspects will be in Lincoln County District Court Friday.
