CHERRYVILLE - Ms. Vangie Luella Tuner, 88, of 111 Harrilson Road, passed away Friday, June 05, 2009 at Hospice at Wendover.
Born June 26, 1920 in Cleveland County, she was the daughter of Lawrence Turner and Lillie Norman Turner. Ms. Turner was retired as bookkeeper and office manager of Capital Electric Supply Company of Columbia, SC. Ms. Tuner was also a member of First United Methodist Church of Cherryville where she was in the Florene Stiles Sunday school class and the Lola Allran Circle.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James Turner and Paul Turner and five sisters, Verna Eaker, Ruby Page, Ann Powell, Roseada Turner, and Fannie Belle Ledford.

She is survived by two special nieces and caregivers, Crystal Thornburg and Rhonda Wehunt; and also many other nieces and nephews and a special friend Merle Bridges of Cherryville.

Funeral Services will be held at First United Methodist Church of Cherryville Sunday, June 7, 2009 at 3:00PM with the Rev. Rick Fite officiating.

Visitation will be held at the church Sunday from 1:45 until 2:45PM and other times at the home of Crystal Thornburg 101 Farmwood Drive, Cherryville.

Burial will follow at Clover Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery in Casar.
