TWO BANDYS TEENS
DIE IN WRECK

(CATAWBA COUNTY) -- Grief
counselors have been on hand at Bandys
High School since an accident Monday
afternoon took the lives of two teenage
students.
The accident happened around 2:11pm at
the intersection of Keisler Store Road
and Slanting Bridge Road.
Sixteen year old Hayden Griffith, 8830
Bluestone Court, Sherrills Ford, was
traveling west on Keisler Store Road when
she ran a stop sign. Lindsay Barosci, 15,
7556 Anchors Away Lane, Sherrills Ford,
was a passenger in Griffiths
vehicle.
After they ran through the stop
sign, their vehicle was struck by a
vehicle traveling north on Slanting
Bridge Road, said Trooper J.S.
Tabet with the North Carolina Highway
Patrol. The girls car was
knocked into the southbound lane of
Slanting Bridge, where it was struck by
another vehicle.
Tabet said the teenagers were pronounced
dead at the scene.
Three other people were injured in the
accident, where the victims were taken to
Carolinas Medical Center Lincoln and Lake
Norman Regional Medical Center.
