DRUG
SUSPECT ENTERS GUILTY PLEA IN SUPERIOR
COURT
By Jon Mayhew [LINCOLNTON]
A Lincolnton drug suspects
trial came to a halt Monday afternoon
after he pled guilty to two charges of
selling drugs to an undercover officer.
Manuel Everett Tucker was sentenced to
136 173 months in the North
Carolina Department of Corrections by
presiding judge Timothy S. Kincaid.
According to Lincolnton Police detective
Dennis Harris, Tucker entered to guilty
pleas on charges stemming from undercover
drug buys on May 10 and May 12, 2006.
There were two other drug buys as
well, said Harris in a telephone
interview. He also faced a burglary
charge from the Lincoln County
Sheriffs Office.
Tucker was also charged with being a
habitual felon, as he had three prior
felony convictions according to Harris.
