Teens Charged With Vandalism of A Community

DENVER -- Three Lincoln County
teenagers were charged with breaking into the
Westport Golf Club Community Building and causing
thousands of dollars worth of damage.
Detective 1st Sgt. Lee Keller said employees
heard the sound of breaking glass at the
Community Building Tuesday night and went to
investigate. They observed three teenagers
running from the scene and detained one teenager
while the others ran away.
Lincoln County Sheriffs deputies were
dispatched to the scene and found the other two
suspects walking along Highway 16. Keller said
thousands of dollars worth of damage was done to
the inside of the building.
The three teens were identified as James Luke
Sankowich, 16, Maple Lane in Lincolnton, Robert
Gerald Ambrosio, Jr., 17, Lakeview Drive, Denver,
and David Austin Williams, 17, of Bumgarner-James
Lane, Lincolnton.
All are charged with one count of Felony Breaking
and Entering A Building, Larceny After Breaking
and Entering, Possession of Stolen Goods,
Vandalism-Injury to Real Property.
Ambrosio faces an additional charge of Possession
of Marijuana. He is under a $12,000 secured bond
while bond for Sankowich and Williams was set at
$11,000 secured. The three teens remain in the
Harven A. Crouse Detention Center.
