Teens Including a Juvenile Charged With May 2008

LINCOLNTON -- Lincoln
County Sheriffs Detectives have charged two
teens with break-ins to Lincoln County businesses
on May 1, 2008. Detective Sally Dellinger said
the break-ins occurred at the Ranch House
Restaurant and Hampton Wrecker Service, both on
Reepsville Road in Lincolnton.
Detective Dellinger charged Joshua Nash Gardner,
17, of River Road in Lincolnton and a juvenile,
who was 15 years old when the crime was
committed, with two felony counts each of
Breaking and Entering a Building and two counts
of felony larceny.
Detective Dellinger said deputies chased a
suspect vehicle, a pickup truck, which wrecked on
the Startown Road and the men fled the scene. A
car taken from a residence near the Startown Road
was later found in Stanley. She received
additional information about the suspects from
Gaston County on July 24, 2008 and interviewed
both suspects.
They were charged in connection with the
break-ins and larcenies on Friday, August 1,
2008. Joshua Gardner is being held in the Harven
A. Crouse Detention Center under a $10,000
secured bond. The juvenile is being held in
Gaston County. Additional charges against the two
teens are expected to be filed in Gaston County.
