TEENS ARRESTED IN VEHICLE BREAK-IN

CROUSE -- Two western Lincoln County teenagers are arrested by
sheriff's detectives in connection with a break-in and larceny of a work
truck.

Detective Don Mauldin arrested Kegan Ryan Walker, 17, 1830 George
Brown Road, Crouse, and Joshua Lee Deaton, 16, 7421 West Highway
27,

Deaton is charged with felony counts of breaking and entering a motor
vehicle; larceny and possession of stolen goods. Walker, meantime, is
charged with felony larceny.

The teens are accused of breaking into a 1999 truck owned by Turner and
Baxter Painting during the early morning hours of Dec. 29, 2008. The truck
driver, Kenneth Shull, found the truck ransacked. A small amount of cash,
cigarettes, some medications, and a man’s gold ring were stolen. The
items were valued at $250.

Other charges are pending and the investigation is continuing.

Deaton was released on a $5,000 secured bond while Walker was
released on a $2,500 secured bond.
