JAILED AFTER THREATENING MOTHER

-- A 16-year-old is jailed after
threatening his mother with a knife.
The
incident happened at 212 Colonial Village
Drive around 3:40pm Saturday.
According
to Lt. Randy Willis, the teen --
identifiedf as Dillon Phelps -- actually
called police.
"He
said that if we (police) didn't respond,
then he'd tear his place up," said
Willis.
The
victim, Phelps' mother Sondra Boyd, told
authorities the disturbance started after
she refused to let Phelps' girlfriend
spend the night at the apartment.
Police
tried to get Phelps to leave but the teen
refused to cooperate.
Phelps
was charged with two misdemeanor counts
of communicating threats. He was taken to
jail under a $3,000 secured bond. As of
late Tuesday night, Phelps remained in
the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center.
