TEEN
ARRESTED IN DECEMBER BREAK-IN

-- An 18-year-old Horseshoe Lake
Road resident is arrested and charged
with breaking into a vehicle the middle
of December.
Lincolnton
Police detective Dennis Harris arrested
Matthew Rhyne Nolen, 508 Horseshoe Lake
Road, at his residence Wednesday around
4:15pm.
Nolen is
charged with felony burglary - forcible
entry; identity theft; felony larceny;
and felony breaking and entering to a
motor vehicle. He was taken to the Harven
A. Crouse Detention Center under a
$10,000 secured bond.
On Dec.
15, 2008, Brandi Leigh Houser of 212
Turner Street returned home and
discovered her residence broken into. The
residence was ransacked according to the
police report.
The
victim was advised her Bank of America
debit card was used at a gas station,
location unknown.
Detective
Harris spoke with a man believed to be
Nolen's brother in January, where Harris
received a break in the case with
information on items taken in the
breaking and entering. Electronics,
different debit/EBT cards and tools were
taken in the breaking and entering.
Nolen's
first court appearance is set for
Thursday.
