TWO MEN ARRESTED FOR
SHOOTING MOTEL MAINTENANCE WORKER

TAYLORSVILLE
A motel maintenance man for the Taylorsville
Motel is shot after an argument involving two
guests and authorities quickly worked to
apprehend both suspects.
Taylorsville Police didnt identify the
victim except to say he was a white male who was
shot in the arm and face. The victim was
airlifted to a hospital in Winston-Salem and
listed in fair condition.
The incident started midnight Monday when the
motel manager went to check on a disturbance
outside of room 20. The registered occupants and
a guest were trying to break down the room door.
After the first argument, the maintenance worker
came to fix the door. After the second argument,
the worker was shot.
Both Taylorsville Police and the Alexander County
Sheriffs Office responded to the motel,
which is located on Main Street in Taylorsville.
Adam Gregory, 37, of Taylorsville, left the scene
and was apprehended a short time later. He was
charged with attempted murder, assault with a
deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting
serious injury, and possession of a firearm by a
felon. He was jailed in Alexander County under a
$300,000 secured bond.
Jerry Leon Flowers, 45, of Taylorsville, was also
charged with being an accessory after the fact.
He was jailed in Alexander County under a $78,000
secured bond.
Authorities also found both to be in possession
of cocaine and both face felony drug charges.
