HICKORY - Steven Allen Lowman, 52, of Hickory died Monday, June 8, 2009 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC. Born January 26, 1957 in Catawba County, he was the son of Samuel and Glenda Rae Walker Lowman. He was employed with Framewright, Inc. and a member of East First Street Baptist Church in Newton.

Mr. Lowman was preceded in death by his sister, Kim Lowman. He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Tina Henson Lowman; daughter, Angie Lowman Lester; sons, Steven Lowman, Jr., Ryan Huffman and Richard Henson; grandchildren, Lanee Jordan and Holden Henson; his parents, Samuel Lowman and Glenda Walker Lowman; sisters, Judy Wheeler, Diane Lowman and Amy Sherrill; and brother, Timmy Lowman.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 11, 2009 in the Chapel of Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home with the Reverend David Lyda and the Reverend G.E. Freeman officiating. Burial will follow at Conover City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, June 10, 2009 from 6:00-8:30 p.m. at Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home.
