This workshop is designed for individuals
interested in starting a vineyard for commercial
bunch grape production. The information will
focus on the first three years of the vineyards
life. The workshop will cover issues related to
site selection and preparation, selection and
ordering of varieties and rootstocks, planting,
trellis selection, establishing vine structure,
weed control, cover crops, cost of establishing a
vineyard, and disease and insect concerns.
Participants should obtain a copy of the NC
Winegrape Grower's Guide which can be ordered for
$ 20 from Publications Office, Dept. of
Communications Services, Campus Box 7603, NCSU,
Raleigh NC 27695-7603.
