MAN STABBED MULTIPLE TIMES

LINCOLNTON -- Police are investigating a case of assault with a deadly weapon after a man is taken to the hospital with multiple stab and cut wounds around 3:45 a.m. Wednesday.

Thirty-four year old Jerome Wesley Streeter told officer Mark Sain at Carolinas Medical Center Lincoln that he got into an altercation with four black males. Streeter required more than 50 staples to close his wounds.

Authorities said Streeter couldn't tell them where the assault occured and didn't know who the suspect were. Police say differently and add Streeter is well-known to law enforcement.

The investigation continues into the case. Streeter was treated and released from the hospital mid-morning Wednesday.
