"SPIDERMAN"
ARRESTED ON ASSAULT CHARGE

LINCOLNTON
-- One of Lincolnton's more colorful
characters is in trouble with the law and now the
man called "Spiderman" has a court
date.
According to an
incident report on file at the Lincolnton Police
Department, Issac Gillespie, 25, assaulted
another man in the 900 block of Catawba Street.
In Sgt. Johnny
Caudle's report, the incident happened aroud 2:40
p.m. on Tuesday.
When Caudle
arrived on the scene, he noticed that 36-year-old
Nelson Branch suffered minor injuries after an
argument with Gillespie.
Officers
couldn't locate "Spiderman" at the
scene, but eventually Gillespie was located
around 5:20 p.m. and served a warrant for
misdemeanor simple assault at the Magistrate's
Office.
No bond
information was available on the arrest report.
Gillespie has a court date in November on the
charge.
