VICTIM ARRESTED
ON ARMED ROBBERY CHARGES

Shooting

Robinson is charged with a robbery that
happened a few days before he was shot.

-- A Lincolnton man shot in
December is arrested Monday on armed
robbery charges.
Anthony
Robinson was shot five times Dec. 17 on
the back porch of his Magnolia Street
residence. Rahim Oates was arrested Jan.
7 and charged with attempted murder in
the shooting.
Oates
told investigators that Robinson and
another man -- Paul Walton -- robbed him
days before the shooting of $125.
Robinson was jailed last week on robbery
charges at the Harven A. Crouse Detention
Center according to Lincolnton Police
investigator Sgt. Matt Painter.

Robinson's
listed address, according to Lincolnton
Police Sgt. William Vaughn, is Catawba
Street. Robinson was taken into custody
without incident.
Robinson
suffered life-threatening injuries in the
shooting in December having to go through
surgeries including a face reconstruction
surgery according to authorities.
Robinson
turned himself in to authorities Thursday
night around 10:30pm on charges of
failing to appear in court. He posted
bond and was released until his arrest
Monday afternoon.
Authorities
charged Robinson with robbery with a
dangerous weapon and possession with
intent to sell and deliver counterfeit
control substance. His bond was set at
$60,000 secured.
All
three men are still in the Harven A.
Crouse Detention Center.
