LINCOLNTON
-- A Lincolnton Police
Department incident report is shedding
more details on a shooting that happened
Wednesday night on Magnolia Street.
Anthony
Robinson, 22, was shot four times
according to the report, where Sgt.
Spencer Summers had talked to the
emergency room doctor about Robinson's
injuries.
The
doctor indicated that Robinson suffered
wounds to his face, neck, left rib cage
and chest.
Robinson
was rushed from his residence to
Carolinas Medical Center Lincoln, then
transported to CMC in Charlotte. Lincoln
EMS said Robinson suffered life
threatening injuries in the shooting.
As of
late Thursday night, a condition update
on Robinson wasn't available from CMC in
Charlotte.
In Sgt
Summers report, he indicated he spoke
with neighbors, who shed some light on
events leading up to the shooting.
Robinson
received a cell phone call in the moments
prior to the shooting, asking him to step
outside on the porch of his residence.
Then,
neighbors report hearing four or five
gunshots. When police arrived at the
scene, Robinson was in his front yard
being helped by a neighbor.
Family
members told police Robinson had an
argument with someone prior to the
shooting. The case remains under
investigation.
