Newton- Sandra Elaine Kern Hooper, 64 of
Brushwood Circle, Newton died Wednesday,
July 28, 2009 at Palliative CareCenter
& Hospice of Catawba Valley.
Born November 27, 1944 in Catawba County,
she was the daughter of the late Maggie
Eugina Newell & Dayton Hugh
Kern. Sandra worked as a Sales
Associate at WalMart for 10 years.
Her
husband of 46 years, Clemmie Burien,
“CB” Hooper Jr.; a daughter,
Allison Marie Hayter of Newton; a son,
Clemmie Burien Hooper, III of Lincolnton;
a brother, Owen Clay Kern of Charlotte,
NC; and 4 grandchildren survive
her.

Sandra’s request there will be no
ceremony. Family will receive
friends from 2-4 p.m., Saturday, August
1, 2009 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel in
Newton.
