VALE - Ronald "Ron"
Connelly, 75, of Maybank Lane, passed
away June 28, 2009, at CMC Lincolnton.
Born Nov. 27, 1933, in Point Pleasant,
N.J., he was the son of the late James
and Anna Pizzano Connelly.
He was a sergeant in the United States
Marine Corps in the Korean Conflict of
1950-1953 where he received 4 Bronze
Stars, 1 Purple Heart, and nu-merous
other awards and medals. He was a loving
husband to Cynthia Connelly, his wife of
16 years. Also surviving are his three
children, Michelle Connelly, Chris
Connelly and John Connelly and his many
grandchildren and great grandchildren. He
was a long time education administrator
holding a PhD and has been retired
enjoying his many art creations including
sculpting and painting. He is deeply
loved by all the family and will be
sorely missed.
A memorial service will be held 7 p.m.
Tuesday in the Colonial Chapel of
Carothers Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends one hour
prior to the service.
