SPREE LANDS VALE MAN IN JAIL

County Sheriffs detectives have
charged a Vale resident with going on a
shopping spree, using a relatives
personal information.
According to public information officer
Larry Seagle, Ricky Wendell Lane Jr., 29,
169 Cedar Ridge Lane, used his
wifes grandmothers
identification to open accounts.
The accounts were opened at Sears
and Walmart, said Seagle. The
victim found out about the incident and
reported it to the sheriffs office
on Dec. 6, 2008.
Segale said Detective Andrew Alvarado
charged Lane with three felony counts of
financial transaction card fraud; three
felony counts of financial identity
fraud; and one count of misdemeanor
credit card fraud.
Lane was arrested on Feb.16 when he
reported for work at Cardinal Healthcare
in Lincolnton. He is in the Harven A.
Crouse Detention Center under a $15,000
secured bond.
