REMNANTS OF FAY MOVING THROUGH LINCOLN COUNTY

LINCOLN COUNTY --
If you like lots of rain, then the next couple of days are just for you. The remanents of Tropical Storm Fay are moving through the greater Charlotte area, including Lincoln and surrounding counties.

This morning, there weren't any reports of any storm damage in the Charlotte area. Around 10:30 a.m., however, a tornado warning was issued for Union County. Around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, a tornado warning was issued for Chester County, South Carolina.

For Lincolnton and Lincoln County, though, rains throughout the day temporarily flooded some roads. There weren't any power outages reported related to the storm and drivers seemed to use caution when driving along Lincoln roads.

Rain is predicted for most of the rest of the week, with the largest chance being predicted for Wednesday.

This Thursday's "Alive After Five" event is in doubt. The beach band Coast to Coast is scheduled to perform.

Band member Cain Leonard hopes this month's concert in downtown Lincolnton won't be rained out.

"It's been rained out for the past two or three shows," said Leonard on Monday.

The rain isn't expected to move out of the area before Friday.
