LINCOLNTON - Reginald Verman Jewell, 67, 2788 Gastonia Highway, Lincolnton, died June 6, 2009.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Long Shoals Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2 p.m. prior to the service at the church.

A native of West Virginia, he worked for the U.S. Postal Service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vermin and Margaret Sanders Jewell.

Survivors include wife, Karen Francis Jewell of the home; sons, Mark Jewell of Conover, Tim Jewell of Wilmington and Matthew Jewell of Lawndale; daughters, Rebecca Darby of Denver and Rachael Sanders of Midland; brothers, Robert Jewell of Fayetteville, Tom Jewell of Wilmington and Samuel Jewell of Florida; sister, Vicki Blackwell of Virginia and nine grandchildren.

Warlick Funeral Home in Lincolnton is serving the Jewell family.
