WITH EMBEZZLEMENT

BOGER CITY -- Jessica Sanborn usually greeted customers with a kind word and a smile at the Raceway at 1913 E. Main Street. Now, the 18-year-old Huss Street resident is charged with embezzlement of $230 from her employer.

Lincolnton police officer Jimmy Barlowe II responded to the store qand spoke with the store manager, who said the incident happened on Nov. 30.

According to the report at Lincolnton Police, the missing money wasn't discovered until Tuesday morning.

After gathering evidence in the case, Barlowe obtained an embezzlement warrant and arrested Sanborn at her residence.

Sanborn was taken to the Magistrate's Office and given a $5,000 unsecured bond.
