LINCOLNTON
-- A white Lincolnton man, arrested and
charged over the
weekend with harrassing his hispanic
female neighbor, posts bond on a
Saturday and is named a suspect in a
Sunday incident.
Around 7pm Sunday, police were called to
the woman's residence on
Wendover Street, where Robert Gregory
Burns was accused of throwing
eggs at the womans' vehicle.
Just a day prior, Burns was arrested with
communicating threats; injury to
real property; and second degree
trespass.
According to Marcia Mendoza, Burns threw
eggs at her car and threatened
to kill her and her daughter Sunday
night. Authorities told Mendoza to seek
a domestic violence protection order,
referred to as a "50-B."
Police tried talking to Burns but they
were unsuccessful.
Bond on the original
charges was set at $1,000 unsecured.
Burns' court
date on the original charges was set for
Feb. 3, 2009.
It's not known if the woman will press
charges on the latest incident.
