Jordan Atchley, 21, North Oak Street, was arrested by Sgt. J. Wilson Thursday around 11:10 p.m. on North Grove Street. Atchley was charged with running a red light; failing to burn headlights and driving while impaired. Atchley was given a custody release and a court date of November 21 in Lincolnton District Court.


Fred Wayne Hall, 47, Openview Lane, was arrested at the Lincolnton Police Deaprtment by officer T. Potts on Thursday around 2:20 p.m. Hall was given a criminal summons for filing a false police report. No bond or court date given on the arrest report.



Jacob David Rivera, 31, of Georgetown Road, was arrested by officer T. Potts and Sgt. Willie Vaughn on Thursday around 11 a.m. Potts arrested Rivera at Rivera's residence and charged him with possession of marijauna less than a half-ounce. Bond was set at $500 secured with a court date of November 12.



John Vance Malezewski, 39, of Maiden, was arrested by Sgt. Willie Vaughn on Thursday around 8:20 a.m. at a residence on Hubbard Street. Malezewski was charged with failing to appear in court on larceny charges and given a $300 secured bond. Malezewski posted bond and was released from custody.


Justin Lee "Jeff" Wise, 21, Arney Street, was arrested by Sgt. Willie Vaughn at Wise's residence on Wednesday around 5:45 p.m. Wise was charged with larceny and failing to appear on numerous traffic violations. Bond was set at $2,500 secured with a November 12 court date.


Talmadge Hazelwood, 37, of Davis Street was arrested by Sgt. Willie Vaughn at the Magistrate's Office on Wednesday around 5 p.m. Hazelwood was charged with failing to comply with a fine. He posted a cash bond of $126 and was released from custody.


Jolaine Brown, 22, of Turner Street, was arrested at her residence on Wednesday. Sgt. Willie Vaughn charged Brown with a criminal summons on misdemeanor worthless check from Food Lion. Brown's court date is December 16.


Ralph Blackwell, 66, of Laboratory Road, was arrested by Sgt. Willie Vaughn Wednesday around 9 a.m. on charges of communicating threats and being drunk and disruptive. Bond for Blackwell was set at $5,000 secured with a court date in Lincolnton of December 10.


Floyd Burchfield, 43, of Bryan Cooper Lane, was arrested by officer M. Sain Tuesday 11:15 p.m. on South General's Boulevard. He was charged with driving while impaired, driving while license revoked and a stoplight violation. Bond was set at $500 with a court date of Nov. 21 in Lincolnton District Court.


Ricky Dale Waldrop, 24, of Huss Street was arrested by Sgt. John Caudle Tuesday around 11 a.m. He was served warrants at the Lincoln County Jail on charges of communicating threats and making harassing phone calls. Bond was set at $500 secured with a court date of Oct. 27.



Curnita Foster, 22, of Grover, NC, was arrested by officer S. Summers on four counts of worthless checks to Food Lion. Bond was set at $2,000 secured with a December 16 court date.


Brittney Trippett, 17, King Henry Lane, was arrested by officer M. Sain on Oct. 21 around midnight. She was arrested on West Main Street and charged with driving while license revoked. Trippett's bond was set at $500 secured with a court date of Nov. 21 in Lincolnton District Court.


Patrick Dohlen, 17, of Highway 73, Iron Station, was arrested by officer S. Summers on Oct. 20 around 4:15 p.m. Dohlen was charged at the Magistrate's Office with misdemeanor simple assault and injury to personal property. Bond was set at $500 secured with an Oct. 29 court date.


Mary Watts, 79, Victory Grove Church Road, was arrested at the Carolina Motel on Oct. 18 around 11:15 p.m. Sgt. Willie Vaughn charged Watts with second degree trespass and simple assault. Bond was set at $500 secured and Watts will be in court on Oct. 28. See the front page of The Carolina Scoop for more details.




Ricky Lee Miller II, 26, Lambs Way, Iron Station, was arrested in the parking lot of The Drug Store Oct. 17 around 5:45 p.m. Officer D. Mocanu charged Miller with three felony counts of doctors shopping, misdemeanr marijauna possession and misdemaenor possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $62,000 secured. Lisa Edwards Holtsclaw, 34, of D. Street, was arrested at the Magistrate's Office on Oct. 17 around 4 p.m. Sgt. Willie Vaughn charged Holtsclaw with failure to appear on a speeding charge and an expired inspection sticker from Mooresville. Holtsclaw will appear in Iredell County District Court in Mooresville on Nov. 5.


Stephen Leslie Hovis, 40, of Noah Street, was served a criminal summons at his residence on Oct. 17 around 3 p.m. He was charged with one count of misdemeanor worthless check from 3-Way Supply in Hickory. Hovis will appear in Catawba County District Court in Newton on Nov. 7.


Brandon Hatfield, a 16-year-old student at Asbury School, was arrested Oct. 17 around 2 p.m. after it was discovered he had a knife on school property. Sgt. Willie Vaughn arrested Hatfield via a criminal summons on possessing a weapon on school property. Hatfield's court date is Nov. 18 in Lincolnton District Court.



Graten Rufus Holtsclaw, 36, of D. Street, was arrewsted at his residence Oct. 18 at 1:15 a.m. by officer O. Calderon. He was charged with communicating threats and taken to jail after being served a domestic violence protection order violation.


Marcus Jerome Hart, 22, Del Mar Lane, Lincolnton, was arrested in the parking lot of Cookout on East Main Street on Oct. 17 around midnite. Officer M. Reep, with assistance from Sgt. J. Wilson and officer R. Harrington, charged Hart with misdemeanor driving while license revoked. Bond for Hart was set at $300 secured.


Johnny Joe Warwick, 35, of Highway 150 was arrested on Oct. 16 around 10:30 p.m. in the parking lot of McDonalds on East Main Street. He was charged with a misdemeanor count of assaulting a female and taken to jail without bond. Warwick's next court date is set for Tuesday, Oct. 20, in Lincolnton district court.




Mary Christopher, 50, of County Line Trail, was arrested at Bi-Lo on West Highway 27 Oct. 16 around 3 p.m. by officer B. Burgin. Christopher was charged with five felony counts of obtaining property by false pretense and one felony count of attempted obtaining property by false pretense. She was taken to jail under a $25,000 secured bond and had a first appearance Friday in court.

Michael Curtis Hughes, 42, South Aspen Street, was arrested at his residence on Oct. 15 around 1:45 a.m. by officer M. Sain. Hughes was arrested on warrants for driving while license revoked; ficticious tag and having no vehicle insurance. Lt. K. Schrum assisted in the arrest where Hughes was taken to jail. He has a court date of Oct. 21 in Lincolnton district court.




Krystal Marie Herndon, 24, of Georgetown Road, Lincolnton, was arrested by officer Billy Burgin on a felony charge of obtaining property by false pretenses. She was taken to the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $5,000 secured bond.

Carol Orshal, 40, 127 Cherry Street, was arrested at her residence by officer R. Harrington on Oct. 14 around 9:45 p.m. The complaintant, her husband Scott, told police his wife assaulted him. Sgt. J. Wilson and officer O. Calderon assisted in the arrest, where Orshal was taken to jail without bond for a 48 hour hold. At her first appearance hearing, bond was set at $1,000 secured on charges of assault and assault with simple affray.


Curnita Foster, 22, of Grover, NC, turned herself in at the Lincolnton Police Department on Tuesday, Oct. 14, around 4:30 p.m. She was charged with 10 misdemeanor counts of worthless checks to Food Lion. Since she was served a criminal summons, she wasn't arrested and given a court date of Nov. 7, 2008 in Cleveland County court.




Perry Renus Bryant, 43, of Arney Street, was arrested at his residence by officer M. Reep on 10/13/08 around 10:15 p.m. Reep, who was assisted by Sgt. J. Wilson and officer R. Harrington, charged bryant with communicating threats. Bond for Bryant was set at $2,500 secured and he was given a court date of Oct. 27, 2008. The complaintant also lived at the residence.


Alexander Westney, 41, of Lawing Street, was served a criminal summons by Sgt. Willie Vaughn at his residence on 10/13/08 around 5 p.m. Westney was charged with three misdemeanor counts of worthless checks from the Lincolnton Gym Corporation. Because it was a criminal summons, there wasn't any bond assigned to Westney. His court date is Dec. 10, 2008.


Timothy Jackson Brazell, 22, of Hubbard Street, was arrested at his residence by Sgt. Willie Vaughn on charges of simple assault. Vaughn served a warrant taken out by a Triplett Lane resident on the charge. Brazell, who is the complaintant in the arrest of Christopher Rudisill, was given a $500 unsecured bond and given a court date of Oct. 28, 2008.


Christopher O'Neal Smith, 21, aka "Young Money" of Laboratory Road, was arrested by Sgt. Willie Vaughn on warrants at the Magistrate's Office. Smith was charged with possession and possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine. Bond was set at $15,000 secured.



Jose Santos Brabo, 26, of Huss Street, was arrested at his residence on 10/12/08 around 2:30 p.m. Officer B. Burgin charged Brabo with assault on a female and interfering with emergency communications. Brabo was held without bond and given a court date of Oct. 20, 2008.



Shelly Davy, 22, of Iron Station was arrested by Lt. K. Shrum on charges of driving while impaired and second degree trespass. She was arrested in the roadway of Old South Road on her moped and taken to jail under a $1,500 secured bond. Her court date is on Nov. 7, 2008.



Kenny Harrison, 53, of Finger Street, was arrested by officer M. Sain on 10/11 around 8:15 p.m. Harrision was arrested on East Main Street after a motor vehicle accident and charged with driving while impaired. He was jailed under a $1,000 secured bond and given a court date of Nov. 21, 2008.


Christopher David Rudisill, 19, of Lynch Street, was arrested by officer S. Summers on 10/11 around 5:45 p.m. on a complaint by Timothy Brazell. Rudisill was charged with assault inflicting serious injury and communicating threats. The suspect was taken to jail under a $5,000 secured bond and given a court date of Oct. 28, 2008.




Christopher Dean Hall, 19, of Green Street, was arrested near the intersection of Lynch and Arney Streets on 10/9/08 around 9 p.m. Officer M. Reep charged Hall, who was armed with a knife, with a warrant on failing to appear in court in Gaston County; carrying a concealed weapon; and possession of drug paraphernalia. Sgt. J. Wilson and officer R. Harrington assisted. Hall was taken to the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $750 secured bond and given a court date of Nov. 4, 2008. Hall was also charged with breaking, entering and larceny to a motor vehicle.


Ashley Hoffman, 23, of Catawba, was arrested 10/9/2008 around 1:40 p.m. at The Drug Store on Center Drive. Hoffman was served a warrant by Sgt. Willie Vaughn on a charge of shoplifting/larceny of skin creme. Hoffman was taken to the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $1,000 and given a court date of Nov. 26, 2008. Brenda Wright Parson, 35, of Magan Drive, Lincolnton, was arrested Thursday around 3:45 p.m. by officer T. Potts. Parson was charged with embezzlement and larceny from Times Turn Around on Laurel Street. Parson was jailed under a $2,500 secured bond with a court date of Oct. 22, 2008. Jeffrey Wayne Mitchem, 41, of East Lincoln Street, Lincolnton, was arrested Thursday around 11:10 a.m. at the Lincolnton Police Department. Mitchem was charged with felony manufacturing marijauna. The suspect was given a $2,500 unsecured bond and has a court date of Oct. 10, 2008, in Lincolnton District Court.


Tammy Stansford, 37, of Mauney Drive, Lincolnton, was arrested at her residence Thursday at 7:16 a.m. Sgt. Willie Vaughn charged Stansford with attmpted breaking and entering. Stansford signed a written promise to appear in court and was released. Her next court date is Nov. 25, 2008,


Jordy Lamar Jefferies, 22, of Mauney Drive, Lincolnton, was arrested as his recidence on Thursday at 7:50 a.m. Sgt. Willie Vaughn charged Jefferies with failure to appear on possession of marijauna charges. Jefferies was given a $300 secured bond and a court date of Nov. 13, 2008.


Mark Allen Upchurch, 23, of Castlewood Road, Charlotte, was arrested on Motz Avenue after officers received a call of a suspicious vehicle. Upchurch was charged with larceny of money over $1,000 and possession of stolen goods. Bond for Upchurch was set at $7,000 and he has a court date in Mecklenburg County on October 10, 2008.


Lucas Eugene Bradshaw, 25, of East Arney Street, Lincolnton, was served a summons at the Lincolnton Police Department Wednesday around 4:30 p.m. by Sgt. Willie Vaughn. Bradshaw was charged with simple worthless check from Bi-Lo and given a court date of Nov. 18, 2008 in Lincolnton District Court.


Teresa Anthony Hunsucker, 40, of Huss Street, Lincolnton, was arrested by Sgt. Willie S. Vaughn on Wednesday around 8:45 a.m. at her residence. She was charged with simple possession of marijauna, possession of drug paraphernalia and larceny. Sgt. Vaughn said he discovered marijauna on the coffee table as he was arresting Hunsucker, who initially claimed the drugs weren't hers. She was taken to jail under a $1,000 unsecured bond with a court date of Nov. 25, 2008.



Tana Laura Smith, 26, of Newbold Street, Lincolnton, was arrested by Sgt. Willie Vaughn on Wednesday around 10:15 a.m. on warrants at her residence. Smith was charged with four counts of worthless checks to Sentry Drug and one count of simple assault. Smith has court dates in November on the charges.


Maynard Stanley Fleming, 37, of State Street, Lincolnton, was arrested by officer R. Taylor Wednesday around 12:20 a.m. at his residence. Fleming was wanted on a warrant out of Statesville on a felony charge of incest. Fleming was taken to the Lincoln County Jail and turned over to Statesville Police.


Isaac Julius Gillespie, aka "Spiderman", 25, of Lincolnton was arrested at the Magistrate's Office by Sgt. Willie Vaughn on a warrant for simple assault. No bond information was available on the arrest but Gillespie is scheduled for a Nov. 18 court appearance.


Rachel Nicole Stines, 20, of Mull Road, Lincolnton, was arrested at the Lincolnton Police Department on Oct. 7 around 9 a.m. Stines was charged with misdemeanor possession of xanex and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. She was gien a $3,000 secured bond and has a Nov. 5, 2008 court date in Lincolnton district court.


Gene Purvis Jr., 35, of Chapman Street, Lincolnton, was arrested by officer R. Taylor on Oct. 6 around 7:30 p.m. at his residence. Purvis was charged with assault inflicting serious injury and given a $200 unsecured bond. Purvis will appear in Lincolnton district court on Nov. 8, 2008.


Tod-Jaa Dazy-Juan Tilley, 23, of Mull Road, Lincolnton, was arrested by Officer B. Burgin at the intersection of Maiden Highway and Colonial Village Drive on Oct. 6 around 1:45 p.m. Tilley, who was armed with a knife at the time of his arrest, was charged with passing a stopped school bus, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijauna and possession of drug paraphernalia. Timothy Lee Waldrop, 42, of Lincolnton, was arrested by Lt. Dwite Shehan on Oct. 5 at 10:20 p.m. behind East Water Street. Waldrop, who was armed with a knife, was charged with breaking and entering and given a $300 secured bond. His next court date is scheduled for Oct. 7, 2008.


William Edward Jones, 38, of Tampa, Fla. was arrested by officer D. Mocaenu on Oct. 5 at 4:27 p.m. at the intersection of Generals Boulevard and East Main Street. Mocaenu charged Jones with soliciting without a permit. According to the arrest report, it's the fourth time the officer came in contact with the suspect, who claimed to represent New Life Ministries, based out of Tampa. Bond was $300 secured, which was paid by the suspect's wife. Jones is expected in court on Oct 8, 2008.


Lucas Eugene Bradshaw, 25, of Arney Street, Lincolnton, was arrested on Oct. 2 at 11:08 a.m. by Officer Mark Sain. Sain charged Bradshaw with driving while license revoked, resisting arrest and having a ficticious or revoked registration. Bradshaw was taken into custody on a $1,500 secured bond and given a court date of Oct. 8, 2008.


Mack Hoyle Abernathy, 39, of Highview Lane, Lincolnton, was arrested during a traffic stop on East Main Street and Gaston Street after running a red light on Oct. 2 at 1:09 a.m. Sgt. Kameron Keener charged Abernathy with DWI, driving while license revoked and failing to appear in court. Bond for Abernathy was set at $31,500 secured with a first appearance set for Oct. 17, 2008, in Lincolnton District Court.


James Randolph Farris, 26, of Hubbard Street, Lincolnton, was arrested at his recidence Oct. 1 on charges of violating a domestic violence protection order. Officer Mark Sain arrested Farris around 11:30 p.m. and the suspect was taken to jail under no bond. Farris has a court date scheduled for Oct. 6, 2008.
