LINCOLNTON – An early morning incident on the east side of the Court Square may affect morning traffic. Just before 7 a.m., Lincolnton Police, Lincoln EMS and Lincolnton Fire were called to east Court Square near the Lincolnton/Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce to reports of a pedestrian struck.

Sgt. Willie Vaughn advised one person has been transported to Gaston Memorial Hospital, extent of injuries unknown. As of 8 a.m., authorities were still investigating the incident.
