PEDESTRIAN
STRUCK THURSDAY NIGHT

LINCOLNTON
-- A woman is injured after
being struck by a vehicle Thursday night
near Salem Church and Keener Roads.
As of
early Friday morning, police were still
investigating the incident and couldn't
comment on the extent of the woman's
injuries. The Carolina Scoop learned she
was 24-years-old and was discovered in a
ditch by a passing motorist.
The
woman was carrying a flashlight and the
passing motorist saw the flashlight
coming out of the ditch.
The
woman was walking down the road at the
time of the incident, which was reported
around 11pm.
The
unidentified victim was taken by Lincoln
EMS to Carolinas Medical Center in
Charlotte.
Police
are still investigating the incident.
