IRON STATION
Thomas Wayne Parker, 19, 5739 High
Plains Court, has been arrested and
charged with three felony counts of
obtaining property by false pretenses,
one felony count of second degree
burglary and two misdemeanor counts of
worthless checks by Lincoln County
Sheriffs Detectives Mark Stamey and
Andrew Alvarado.
According to Detective Alvarado, the
initial incident was reported by the
mother of the victim on June 14, 2009.
The mother told Deputy JK Barnes her
daughter had graduated high school the
day before.
After counting her graduation monies, the
daughter went to check her bank account
online and discovered three charges
totaling more than $97 she said she did
not make.
Upon further investigation, Detective
Alvarado learned Parker had called the
victim to say he would pay the money
back.
The suspect told Detective Alvarado he
used the victims card three times
to order pizza.
The second incident happened on June 21,
2009, at a residence in the 400 block of
Culloden Road.
Parker told Detective Stamey he was
looking for somewhere to sleep when he
remembered the victims house.
Arriving around midnight, he was able to
gain entry to the home where went inside
and ate from the refrigerator, took a
shower, watched television then went to
bed. Parker said he left the residence
early the next morning.
Upon contacting the homeowner,
investigators were able to find a
half-eaten pop tart and an unmade bed.
Parker said he used to babysit for the
homeowner and had been to the home
several times previously.
The suspect was taken to the Harven A.
Crouse Detention Center under bonds
totaling more than $25,000.
