Paintball vandal
strikes again

By Jon Mayhew
Not even government buildings are exempt from paintball attacks according to a Lincolnton Police Department incident report.

Just before 11:30am Monday, downtown Officer Kameron Keener took a report where the juvenile probation and parole office was hit with orange paintballs.

Keener said besides the office, a state road sign and the old recreational building had been shot. Keener found a rag outside the house next door where someone had wiped off something colored orange.

He talked to a resident on Pine Street, who claimed some guys in a black Chevy Blazer did the shooting; however, according to Keener, the way the grouping of the paintballs and where they hit could not have come from a moving vehicle.

There aren't any leads in the case.

Anyone with information is asked to call Lincolnton Police at (704) 736-8900.
