The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office Traffic/ACE Team would like to offer the motoring public this safe driving tip for January 2009.
Remember all passengers in a vehicle must be in a seat belt. Failure to wear a seat belt will result in a $100 citation for front seat passengers and a $10 citation for back seat passengers.

Authorities responded to a two car accident at the intersection of Gaston Street and South Generals Boulevard on Tuesday afternoon. Sergeant Willie Vaughn with the Lincolnton Poice said no injuries were reported in the accident. The driver of the Mercury was cited for driving without a license.
