Late
winter, although still a little ways off,
is a time when a lot of pruning gets done
on landscape plants, grapevines, and
fruit trees. There are certainly
exceptions like the spring-flowering
shrubs. We normally wait until after the
blooming season to prune those.
While were waiting for late winter
to arrive, there are some things you can
do in preparation for pruning time. I
suspect a lot of us could benefit from
either cleaning up and sharpening our
pruning tools or maybe even buying new
and better ones.
There are three basic types of tools with
which gardeners do most of their pruning.

LINCOLN
COUNTY -- While not on the

fraud crimes in Lincoln County managed to
get a "dishonorable mention" on

It seems that MWF Commissioner
Chris Mellon can't stop ending
up on the canvas by the end of a Saturday
night show at the Howards Creek Veterans
Center in Lincolnton. First, he was given
a DDT by "Outlaw Keith
Matthews." Then, he was
slapped across the face by referee Scott
Foster.

Now, at the most

Dirty Money Syndicate -- Mr. Hojo
Devlin, Mr. Zane Riley and their manager,
Mr. Trey Williams. Mellon
confronted Williams at the end of an MWF

told Williams that after three tries,
Williams' team couldn't "get the job
done."
