The Jeb F. Seagle Marine Corps Detachment League of Lincolnton will hold a new officer's installation and recognition of Women in the Marines 6pm Saturday at the Howards Creek Veterans Center in Lincolnton.

 


Heather Hallman (left) and her mother, Angela, recently attended the "Celebration of Hope" in Charlotte, which was hosted by the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The Foundation grants wishes for terminally-ill children and children -- like Heather -- with a serious disease. Hallman, who is a senior at West Lincoln High School and suffers from Lupus, had her wish granted: a trip to Hawaii to see relatives and swim with dolphins. Heather was presented with an orchid lei flown all the way from Hawaii.

 

FOURTH DRUG SUSPECT IN CUSTODY

LINCOLN RESIDENT DIES IN AMBULANCE WRECK

Tuesday, the brother, son and father died after the ambulance he was riding in crashed on Interstate 20 in South Carolina.
