SEVERAL ARRESTED IN DRUG INTERDICTION

DENVER – Several arrests were made Monday night in what Lincoln County narcotics officers call a drug interdiction, which occurred in the McIntosh Road area off Highway 16.

Mother Nature paid an angry visit to Lincoln County Wednesday evening. Strong winds, in the neighborhood of 60 miles-per-hour and driving rain pelted the county during the early evening. About 93 residents were without power in the county. No injuries or major damage from the storm were reported.

Lincoln County Sheriff's Officers are looking for two stolen vehicles...one a trailer and the other a car.  The trailer described as a 14-foot long custom built trailer yellow in color.  The trailer is 8-feet wide.  Vin #NCX1124097 is stamped on both axles and the tongue. It was taken from Winstead Lane.

The car is a red 1997 Saturn and was taken from Spring Creek Road.  Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-736-8909.  It your information leads to an arrest, you could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.

TEEN ARRESTED IN DECEMBER BREAK-IN

PEDESTRIAN STRUCK AND KILLED


A Toyota Camry struck a pedestrian Monday at a busy Newton intersection.
