Man
claims to be
robbery victim

Detectives with the Lincoln County
Sheriff’s Office are looking
into a Lincolnton man’s claims
he was robbed at gunpoint.
The incident happened in the 200
block of Openview Drive, which is off
Dale Avenue and East Main Streets.
The 50-year-old victim told police he
was robbed at gunpoint by an
unidentified suspect. The only thing
stolen was a bottle of Xanax, an
anti-depressant.
The case remains under investigation.
