Officers Still Looking For These
Suspects
A Catawba County man in connection with
two armed robberies of individuals in the
Wal-Mart parking lot on Highway 73.
Raymond Edwin Nesbitt, 59, formerly of
Bridle Path Drive in Vale, NC is charged
with two counts of robbery with a
dangerous weapon and one count of
obtaining property by false pretenses.

Nesbitt is accused of taking a credit
card and a small amount of money from
Camille Schiavone in one robbery and a
credit card from Jeanette Garcia in
another robbery. Both incidents occurred
in the Wal-Mart parking lot around 1:00
p.m. on October 19, 2008.
Nesbitt is entered as wanted for a parole
violation by the North Carolina
Department of Corrections
Lincoln County Sheriffs detectives
are looking for this individual in
connection with a smash and
grab break-in at the Denver
Cornerstone Convenience Store at 436 N.
Highway 16 on September 28, 2008.

A black male drove up to the business in
what appeared to be a white rollback or
vehicle carrier and broke out a front
window in the store to gain entry. The
thief entered the store through the
window and fled with a large amount of
cigarettes and cash from the register.
Lincoln County Sheriffs detectives
are asking for the publics help in
identifying a possible suspect in the
theft of approximately $12,000 and a safe
from Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church at
537 N. Highway 16 in Denver.
A Sister at the church encountered an
individual inside the church around 2:30
pm on Sunday, December 14, 2008. The man
was wandering the halls and told her he
thought the church was a location similar
to Christian Ministries. He then left the
church and got into a clean white SUV
possibly a Ford Explorer. He was not
carrying anything when he left the
church. The theft of the two-foot x two
foot black safe weighing about 70 pounds
was not discovered until Monday morning,
December 15, 2008.
He is described as a white or possibly
Hispanic male, with a slight accent. He
was wearing jeans and a gray sweatshirt
with the hood pulled up on his head. The
clothing was described as dirty. He is
estimated to be between 35 and 45 years
old.
