VALE
- Nelson Luther Dellinger, 62 of
Houser Farm Rd. died July 20, 2009 in
Rock Hill. SC.
He was born on April 12, 1947 a son of
the late Rev. Coy Dellinger and Lorene
Russ Dellinger Harbinson of Vale. Nelson
was a retired systems manager and team
leader for EDS in Charlotte and was
formerly employed by Dunlop Johnson
Chevrolet in Rock Hill and Kiser
Chevrolet in Cherryville. He was a member
of North Brook Baptist Church, member of
the Fallston Lodge # 356 AF &AM, and
a member of the Scottish Rite. Mr.
Dellinger was also a veteran of the US
Army having served in Korea and Germany.
In addition to his father he was preceded
in death by a brother Coy Timothy
Dellinger.
He is survived by his mother Lorene
Dellinger Harbinson, Vale daughter
Jasmine Tammy Hartmann and husband John
of Van Nuys, CA, two sons Steven Shane
Dellinger of York, SC and Justin Coy
Dellinger and wife Tanya of York, SC,
grandchildren J. P. and Michael Hartmann
and Robert and Reba Dellinger, sister
Sheila Towery and husband Ken of Vale,
brothers Rev. Dr. Wade Dellinger and wife
Lynn of Cherryville, Ray Dellinger and
wife Sheila of Vale, and Morris Dellinger
and wife Patsy of Connolly Springs, NC
and mother of his children Rosie
Youngblood.
Funeral services will be held Friday at
11 AM at North Brook Baptist Church with
Rev. W. Ray Pennell officiating with
burial in the church cemetery with
Masonic Rites.. The family will receive
friends Thursday at Carpenters
Funeral Home, Cherryville from 6-8 PM and
at other times at the home.
Memorials may be made to North Brook
Baptist Church Building Fund, Fallston
Masonic Lodge #356 AF &AM or Duke
University Cancer Research.
