WOMAN REPORTED MISSING FOUND

DENVER -- A woman reported missing from her eastern Lincoln County residence is found in the woods near her residence early Saturday morning.

Radio traffic indicated 79-year-old Jackie Ewing walked away from her Dayton Lane residence just after 1am Saturday. A caller into the Lincoln County Communications center told dispatchers the woman was last seen at 9pm Friday.

Authorities had a feeling Ewing was nearby, as her keys and car were still at the residence. The back door of the residence was unlocked when the caller woke up and discovered Ewing missing.

Lae enforcement reported they heard someone in the woods yelling for help around 1:29am. Authorities found Ewing two minutes later.

She complained of being extremely cold and that she couldn't feel her legs.

Authorities were going to do a reverse 911 in the area, alerting neighbors of Ewing's disappearance if they had not found her.

There was concern for Ewing's safety, since she is on several medications.
