VALE MAN ARRESTED ON SEX CHARGES

James Michael Miller is in jail on sex charges against two juvenile females.

VALE -- A Vale man remains in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center in Lincolnton Monday morning after his arrest last week on sexual assault charges.

Detective Steve Grinnel arrested James Michael Miller 46, of Bucksin Trail, last Thursday. He was charged with felony second degree sexual offense; misdemeanor sexual battery and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The incidents, involving juvenile females, occurred in October and November of 2008.

Miller was arrested without incident and taken before a Lincoln County magistrate. He was taken to jail under a $125,000 secured bond.
