CHARLOTTE - Mickey Key Adams,
64, of 1901 Poplarcrest Lane, died June
23, 2009, at his residence.
He was born in Lincoln County, grew up in
Cherryville and later resided in
Charlotte.
He was son of the later Lee Landy Adams
and was preceded in death by a brother,
Terry Scott Adams.
He was an auto mechanic and maintenance
with Ashley Arms Apartments in Gastonia
for over 43 years.
Survivors include his wife Shirley Sneed
Adams; his mother Ethel Hallman Adams of
Cherryville; a daughter Dana Ann Rhyne of
Dallas, a son Brian Keith Adams of
Dallas, three step sons Richard Wayne
Jolly of Belmont, Richard Anthony Jolly
of Charlotte, Jeffrey Jolly of Belmont;
five sisters Nancy Hillard of Salisbury,
Judy Shultz of Lincolnton, Linda Dowdle
of Mount Holly, Debbie Sue Houk of
Cherryville, Frankie Mace of Maiden; two
brothers William Adams of Dallas, Ronnie
Adams of Cherryville and eight
grandchildren.
A service to celebrate the life of Mr.
Adams conducted by the Rev. Rick Felts
will be held 2 p.m. Friday in the
Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home
in Mt. Holly.
The family will receive friends at the
funeral home from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Friday.
