Leads to Second Meth Lab Bust in One Day

Lincolnton - A second suspected
meth lab was discovered 4:00 p. m. Tuesday at
6072 Cottontail Lane off Hog Hill Road.
Lincolnton/Lincoln County Interagency Narcotics
Unit, Lincoln County Sheriffs Deputies and
the SBI processed the scene after confirming
another meth lab.
Officers arrested Gina Leatherman Gantt, 45, of
6072 Cottontail Lane, Vale, NC.
She is charged with maintaining a dwelling for a
controlled substance, possession of
methamphetamine precursor, possession of drug
paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine and
manufacturing a Schedule II controlled substance,
methamphetamine. Assisting at the scene were
Lincoln County EMS and Emergency Management, and
Union Volunteer Fire Department.
Leatherman is currently being held at the Harven
A. Crouse Detention Center under a $76,000 bond.
Clean-up at this site, as well as the site that
was found Tuesday morning at 2120 Underwood Lane,
is being done by a hazardous materials clean-up
crew and should be completed by early Wednesday
morning.
Its the third meth lab found in the county
since June 26th.
