LINCOLNTON -- Mrs. Maxcine
Thelma Mace Alexander, age 76, of 2067
Bill Lynch Road, Lincolnton died
Wednesday, February 11, 2009, peacefully
at home with her children by her side.
Her funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday,
February 14, 2009 at the First Wesleyan
Church in Lincolnton with Rev. Tommy
Wright and Rev. J.V. Allen officiating.
Her body will lie in state 1 hour prior
to the service at the church. Burial will
follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The
family will receive friends from 6:30
p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Friday at Warlick
Funeral Home.
Mrs. Alexander was born in Lincoln County
and was the daughter of the late Robert
and Bertie Lee Hoyle Mace. She was also
preceded by her husband Melvin B.
Alexander. Mrs. Alexander was a retired
seamstress.
She is survived by two sons, Chad
Alexander of Lincolnton and Lynn Scott
Alexander of Lincolnton; three daughters,
Pam Cody of Lincolnton, Leslie Bishop of
Vale and Lydia Clark of Crouse; two
sisters, Dorothy Hedspeth of Lincolnton
and Joyce Pope of Lincolnton; nine
grandchildren and two great
grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family request
that memorials be made to Hospice of
Lincoln County, 107 N. Cedar Street,
Lincolnton, NC 28092.
Warlick Funeral Home in Lincolnton is
serving the Alexander family.
