GASTONIA - Margie Evalee Jenkins Lunsford, 92, passed away June 18, 2009, at her residence.

She was born Feb. 2, 1917, in Cock County, Tenn., to the late Toliver Issac and Mary Evalee Foresster Jenkins.

She was a member of Gospel Light Holiness Church, Gastonia.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday at the Gospel Light Holiness Church with the Rev. Jerry Willard officiating.

Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends 1 until 7 p.m. Sunday at the church

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Calvin Lunsford, son Lil Alvin Isaac Lunsford, daughter Mary Evalee Pence, grandson Thomas Farrell Allen and great granddaughter Ada Lynn Webb.
She is survived by her children, Emma Jean Walker and husband Arnold, Tommy Lunsford and wife Pat, Eula Mosley, Elbert Lunsford and wife Yvonne, Danny Lunsford, Mott Lunsford, all of Gastonia, David Lunsford and wife Kathy of Mount Holly; 16 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and a huge loving family.

Memorial may be made to Hospice Palliative Care of Lincolnton, 107 North Cedar St., Lincolnton, NC 28092.
