LINCOLNTON -- A
former Lincolnton resident died in an early
Friday morning fall from a condo balcony.
Marcella Holman, 21, fell over a railing of the
condo building in downtown San Diego near her
home around 3 a.m. The building was located at
Ash and Columbia Streets according to police. She
was pronounced dead at the scene.
She worked as a cocktail waitress at Hard Rock
Hotel San Diego.
Authorities don't know for sure if alcohol was
involved.
"I do know she was on the balcony with
friends enjoying some sort of social gathering
when she slipped and fell," said a San Diego
Police officer.
The investigation into the incident continues.
Warlick Funeral Home in Lincolnton in serving the
