man arrested
on drug charges

March 16, 2011 -- Lincoln
County Sheriff's deputies executed a
search warrant at a Lawndale man's
residence Friday, where they found
drugs at the house at 8555 Old
Highway 18.
Lincoln County Sheriff David
Carpenter and Captain Lee Caskey,
narcotics investigators, criminal
investigations and the Drug
Interdiction Criminal Enforcement
(DICE) Team went to the residence,
which is located in Lincoln County,
where they found a little over one
pound of high-grade marijuana in the
house and a vehicle on the property.
Investigators arrested Charles Junior
Lynn, 50, of 8555 Old Highway 18,
Lawndale and charged him with felony
possession with intent to
manufacture, sell and deliver a
controlled substance; felony
maintaining a dewlling/vehicle for
storage; and misdemeanor possession
of drug paraphernalia.
Lynn was released on a $7,500 secured
bond. He posted bond and was released
from custody according to the Lincoln
County Sheriff's Office Web site.
Narcotics officers placed the value
of the marijuana at $4,000 to $6,000.
The arrest was part of an ongoing
investigation with the Gastonia
Police over the last several months.
