By Jon Mayhew
Publisher
LINCOLNTON
-- Friday marked
the start of high school football in Lincoln
County, and city police scored a touchdown
without even being at a game. Authorities
make a traffic stop Friday night and score
several drugs after a vehicle search.
Around 9:26 p.m., Officer Mark Sain stopped a
vehicle operated by 20-year-old Jeffrey Todd
Crouse of Clear Lake Trail, Lincolnton, on
2220 North Aspen Street. Crouse consented to
a search of his vehicle, and that's when
authorities found several drugs including
marijauna, crack cocaine and xanex.
Crouse faced possession charges of the three
drugs plus a possession of drug paraphernalia
charge. Crouse was taken to the Harven A.
Crouse Detention Center under a $8,000
secured bond.
In a separate arrest, a Hubbard Street
teenager was arrested on drug charges and
made a first appearance in court last week.
Terry Eugene Nolen, 19, was served warrants
at his residence on Aug. 18 around 8 a.m.
He's charged with maintaining a dwelling for
the purpose of selling a controlled
substance; three counts of possession with
intent to sell and deliver marijauna; and
three counds of the sale and delivery of
marijauna. The six charges were all felonies.
Nolen was taken to the Harven A. Crouse
Detention Center in Lincolnton under a
$15,000 secured bond.
